Question Item validation provides concrete documentation of the relevance of all questions items on the exam form; it provides documentation that a panel of subject matter experts convened, discussed the relevance of every questionitem, and agreed for on each question item to be placed on the exam form. Another use of the validation process is in the assembly of the exam form. If the experts developed more questions items for a blueprint area than necessary, it is important to quantify the quality of a question an items to allow selection of only the best questionsitems.
As a Validator, you may be working on several projects and have been assigned a certain number of questions items for each project. You can see your work assignments in the Project View Summary page.To access
Access Project View Summary page
Click Select Develop Questions → Validate. The Project View Summary page comes up page appears.
You’ll see a A count of the questions, by blueprint area, that you’ve items you have been assigned to validate / pending validation are displayed by the criteria.Image Removed
The Project View Summary page has includes the following features:
Validate the selected items.
The area of the exam blueprint to which the questions should be assigned.
The number of questions in a blueprint area that you need to validate.
Validated by me
The number of questions in a blueprint area that you have already validated.
The number of questions in a blueprint area that have been validated by all validatorssearch criteria used to assign items for the Validation Assignment. If a saved search was used to assign the validation role to the user, the name of the saved search is listed.
Number of items you must validate or that are remaining to be validated according to the specific Validation Assignment.
The date in mm/dd/yyyy format, by which the assignment must be completed.
Comments can be added to questions items by clicking on the Comments tab.
